Missouri Bicentennial Quilt

The Benton County Museum and Historical Society is pleased to announce that the Missouri Bicentennial quilt will be displayed at our museum at 1660 Hilltop Drive in Warsaw from Tuesday, December 7 through Sunday, December 12.

This quilt was pieced with blocks from each county in the state of Missouri and are arranged in their approximate location within the state. Hundreds of quilters submitted their pattern indicative to their county and then a state committee chose one for each county.

Benton County is represented with popular local quilter Valorie Fauquer’s self-designed block of the Joe Dice Upper Swinging Bridge which spans the Osage River in Warsaw..

Plan to visit the Benton County Museum during this special opening December 7-12 to see this one of a kind Bicentennial quilt, as well as other quilts by our county women, and stroll through the whole museum while there. More information will follow.
