Children admire the working jukebox on display at the Museum.

Many old photos of Benton County churches are displayed on one wall of the Museum. Some of these churches still stand today, looking much as they did 100+ years ago, while others - sadly - have closed. Some churches still stand but in an alternate location after being relocated when Truman Dam was built.

We will open for the 2026 season on Friday, May 1, 2026 with our special exhibit for the year being the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the USA, with an emphasis on military displays from Benton Countians.
Our hours are Friday & Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm & Sunday 1 pm - 4 pm.

The Museum is undergoing a remarkable transformation!
Thanks to the dedication of our Board, volunteers & supporters, the Museum has refreshed exhibits, expanded collections & enhanced the visitor experience in ways that honor our past while preparing for our future.
Most notably, we are thrilled to announce the new building addition & remodel currently in progress! Tax-deductible donations of any amount toward these renovations can be made to The Benton County Historical Society and mailed to PO Box 1082, Warsaw MO 65355.
